Main research topic: Theory Development
Scientific background: Theoretical condensed matter physics; electronic structure. Many-body theory and first principles calculations of electronic excitations and spectroscopies. Current questions are:
- the development of non-perturbative approaches to describe correlation, and the unification of different existing approaches
- theory of photoemission
- dynamical many-body effects in spectra of one-and two-particle excitations
I am promoting close interaction between fundamental theory, computer code development, and experiment up to industrial applications. This is also my role as vice president “for users and technology” of the European Theoretical Spectroscopy Facility.
