Working with Valérie Véniard, I am developing new theoretical tools and the associated numerical codes for the description of ultra-fast electron dynamics in real time. Recent advances in the field of ultra-short laser pulses allows spectroscopic measurements at the attosecond scale and offers the possibility of studying electron dynamics in real time. Within the theoretical framework of the real-time (RT) formalism of the time-dependent density-functional theory (TDDFT), I am working on understanding the creation and evolution of charge carriers, and their effects on higher order optical phenomena.
